This one just came out. It's called Waking the Buddha by Clark Strand, who has been an editor of Tricycle, the journal of Buddhism in America. This book is a quick history of the Soka Gakkai International, the Buddhist organization I've belonged to for 16 years. The Soka Gakkai has, in only a little over 80 years, overcome astronomical odds against it (particularly in the wake of WWII, in post-bomb Japan) to become the largest Buddhist lay organization in history.

Hi You, I really know nothing of the Buddhist religion. I'm really looking forward to this read! Thanks girl
